Irish Firm SCFI Commended at Energy Globe Awards
SCFI’s sustainable sludge destruction technology, AquaCritox, has been selected as one of the world’s leading environmental solutions at this September’s prestigious international Energy Globe Awards.
Held at Vienna’s City Hall, the annual awards celebrate outstanding pioneering projects and technologies from across the world that address today’s most pressing environmental issues.
The Energy Globes attracted an impressive 6,000 projects and entries from over 150 countries, with SCFI’s AquaCritox shortlisted as one of the top four entries in the awards’ ‘Water’ category. Nominees were awarded across five categories: Earth, Fire, Water, Air and Youth and Irish firm SCFI joined 13 other nations to be honoured by a panel of high-profile speakers, including former Indian environmental minister Maneka Gandhi; Australian attorney and Bush Heritage Australia Board Member, Leanne Liddle; Brazilian State Secretary for Solidarity Economy, Paul Singer and former World Bank Inspection Panel Director from Ghana, Professor Eduard Ayensu.
