Technologies
The AquaCritox® technology takes advantage of the properties of high-temperature, high-pressure water. The technology has been tailored to a variety of applications. Take a look at the details below.

AquaCritox NC
A hydrothermal oxidation process focused at treating recalcitrant waste streams such as mixed and refinery spent caustics. The process uses purified oxygen (>90%) as the source of oxidant and operates at optimised pressures and temperatures ranging from 100 – 165 bar and 220 – 300°C.

AquaCritox SCWO
A hydrothermal oxidation process focused on treating recalcitrant waste streams from sewage sludge containing PFAS to API containing waste from pharmaceuticals to solvent waste and beyond. The process uses purified oxygen (>90%) as the source of oxidant and operates at optimised pressures and temperatures ranging from 221 – 260 bar and 374 – 620°C.

AquaCritox LP
Low pressure hydrothermal oxidation solution specifically aimed at treating purely sulphidic spent caustic streams. Air is used as the oxidant and it operates at pressures up to 5 barg and temperatures up to 160°C.

AquaCritox H
A hydrothermal oxidation process specifically aimed at treating predominantly sulphidic spent caustic waste streams with low flow rates. Hydrogen Peroxide (H₂O₂) is used as the oxidant and the process operates at pressures of 4 barg and temperatures up to 140°C.

AquaCritox AlOH
A hydrothermal decomposition process focussed on treating oxalate found in spent Bayer liquor from the production of alumina from Bauxite. The process does not use an oxidant and operates at optimised pressures and temperatures around 95 to 110 bar and 300 to 315°C.
